Great Smoky Mountains National Park—April Recap

Great Smoky Mountain National Park—a beautifully moody place. Especially in April, which if one is well-equipped and prepared it is a perfect time to be there. With spring-like temperatures at the base of the mountains, and winter-like weather at the summits, you need to be well prepared for any conditions. The roads and trails aren’t overloaded with people, backcountry permits aren’t as hard to come by, and you get to see some snow in the mountains.
