Bell Mountain Wilderness 2/25/2019

Monday night was a perfect getaway. The first time I’ve been out on a photography overnight in four months—a 4.5 mile trek to the summit of Bell Mountain during sunset and into dusk, setting up camp under the clear night sky. The temps dipped allowing for a beautiful moondog and a half moon allowed for some natural light-painting of the Ozark landscape. As the sun came up, it spread its warmth over the mountains and camp (something you really notice after being “exposed” to the elements, that rising sun sure does feel good in the morning after getting out of a warm sleeping bag). I keep finding things I love about the Ozarks every time I go explore them and I keep falling in love with them. They are under appreciated.

Below is a gear list from the trip. Some of these things I will be speaking about at my class at Alpine Shop on March 3 at 3pm. I will talk about how and why I use certain gear depending on the situation.
